Has anyone with the following criteria got receipt notice or have their check cashed ?
1) I-140 approved at TSC
2) LUD on I-140 on 07/22, 07/28, 08/05, 08/12 etc...
3) I-485 mailed to NSC during last week of June or early July ?

Got a CRIS Notification for EAD Card PRODUCTION dated Sept 2nd for my wife.
EAD receipt Dat: July 23rd
Card Production date: Sept 2nd
They say it will take 30days to get in the mail..
No idea whether it really takes 30 days or less so I can verify actual validity of the EAD card !
I don't know what worked..mailed TSC a letter to expediate.. Also emailed Local Senator and Congressman to expediate my spouse's EAD renewal.

My order so far is follows
Aug 12 8AM - Email -> Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.
Aug 12 9PM - Email -> Card production ordered.
Aug 15 - Email -> Approval notice sent (for ME)
Aug 18 - Email -> Approval notice sent for Spouse
Aug 18 - Received I-797C Approval Notice for both me and spouse by USPS. In fact i received 3 original copies of the same approval for me and only 1 for my spouse.
Still waiting for the actual cards to come.

pls try to understand...my statement is valid for beyond the 180 day period....i agree that one should not change before 180 days irrespective of whether the I-140 is approved or not...
the question is after the 180 day period..and my point is aytes memo clearly states that the I-140 need not be approved..
So what? I-140 was "approvable" but now employer revokes it and therefore 485 denial becuase 180 days have not been passed. And that is why one never should even try to use AC21 before 180 days period. Even I-140 is already approved, revocation of it will initiate 485 denial.

Mr. Vayalar Ravi , Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs,is coming to USA on June 27,2006. He is coming to Washington DC on July 4 to meet Indian Ambassador and Indian community. We should try to meet him personally and explain the problems we are facing. He can talk to US counterparts and do something for us.

We filed on July 20 to NSC. CSC acknowledged the receipt on September 19. On 9/21 we recd a notice from CSC stating that our cases are transferred to NSC. However EAD and AP applications are still being proceesed by CSC. Just recd an e-mail that EAD card production ordered.

Received CPO mail today, for both myself and my spouse - Aug 26th @ 4:30pm. Here are the details -
EB2-I

Total processing time - 49 days
Don't know if it's one or two years validity. Will post once I receive the physical cards.

I am starting this new thread to discuss about EB visas spillover usage based on oldest priority date irrespective of category/country. Currently the spillover happens vertically(a top down approach) from EB1 -> EB2 -> EB3...etc. Instead it should be first used on cases with oldest priority date. This will not only give a good move to clear the backlog but will also be a fair rule for those who are patiently waiting in queue for a long time. I wrote my concern about this to my local congressman. I also request each one of you, who is impacted by this, or who is interested to help us out, to kindly contact your local congressman/woman to express your concern. In turn they can contact USCIS to implement this fair rule to help us all out.

In this thread there are lot of folks who changed employers using AC21 after 180 days I-485 is pending.
Did they ever travel to thier home country using AP after switching employers from the orginal GC sponsoring employer?
Where they being harassed at Port of Entry by Immigration Officers why siwtched employers and travel on AP?

I know that IV core members are busy with their own jobs and helping with IV but I think this is an important discussion because it can be done with an administrative fix. If primary applicants are allotted GC's from EB 1,2 and 3 and dependents from FB2A it saves a lot of visa numbers. Somebody pls contact IV core directly and get them involved in this discussion.
This concept is not unique and is being done for age out children before CSPA (Child status protection act) and for children of US citizens and permanent residents who get married before getting GC.

I had info pass appointment today in Newark they asked my

I-485 approval letter
Passports
I told them it�s almost one a month, I didn�t get my card yet. Then they gave me a token number and when my turn came. I met the USCIS officer he wasn�t much help at all. he just gave me 551 stamp for 1yr and when I asked him about biometric he said last year I took in Oct-07 its good till next month and I don�t need it.
I was expecting 551 stamp look like h1 visa stamp, but it�s just an ordinary stamp.
After coming home I called USCIS asked them about the card. She told me that card was sent out for production today and I should get it within 1 week to 30 days. Because it was sent out today that�s the reason I didn�t get the email update
