The only change for now is the delivery date - July 10th instead of 09th (FTD doesn't deliver on Mondays)
good some people are taking notice and doing it.. lets keep it rolling and hope atleast few more add on.. cmon guys its just 35$ after all these years and so much money spent what is 30+ bucks.. I promise I will contribute to IV also regularly... make the noise.. and make sure this thing is mentioned in the blogs too so if people miss it here they will read it there and respond...

What happened to EB3-I, call to action ? I sent out the letters ,but what is the follow-up ? Looks like everyone is interested only in EB2 India and nobody is doing anything about EB3-India.

It is a hard fact but I guess I do not want to scare anyone. If you notice some people have got their JuLY 2ND filed cases receipt # and most of them have a Notice date of 08/04/2007 (the guys who got their receipt #). This notice date is the day the Receipt was generated. So today is 08/13/2007. It seems that USCIS is delaying this process of issuing receipts as that will give them a chance to reject applications after 17th. So I guess we should brace ourselves for rejection notices also......

They almost always take some kind of FPs. What I mean is that there are 3 biometrics codes. Code 3 is the most comprehensive, where they take your photo, signature and all ten fingers FP. Check your notice in the upper right corner, there should be a box that says "Code".
I always used to think (and still think) why they would issue different FP codes to different applicants even though they are all applying for same 485 petition?

Packet sent to TSC on 27th July received by USCIS on 30th July.

Anything that has language to exempt from quota is bound to run into severe resistance. However one thing here in US is to challenge any ambiguous negativity in courts. Has there been any instance of challenging country quota in the court as discrimination as some people brought it up earlier. Remember laws can also be changed through courts also, not just legislation.
Even though we are far from Citizenship test, I know there are 3 branches of government,
Judicial, Legislative and Executive.
We do not seem to have much hope in the Legislative(Senate/House) and Executive(president) what are the chances of using that approach.
I hate to say this since I'm charged to the India queue as well. However this will not get solved soon. I saw on CNBC this afternoon that there were something like 53K H1b visas for Indians last year, next was china with like 8 or 9K, then others(I had no idea it was that lop-sided). When H1b visas are going so disproportionately to one country, the only solution to solve the EB green card logjam is to either put country caps on H1b visa or lift it on EB green cards. This is not opinion, it is quite simply a fact. Absent that, we can consider the EB green card route closed for anyone from India.
There is little and declining sympathy for the pro H1b forces. I suspect we will see highly restrictive legislation pretty soon, and based on the current sentiment wouldn't bet against it passing either.

I agree with kshitijnt that you need past employer more than you need client. In my case I had received 485 query to supply some my employment related docs ( whether that I am working with responser or working with someone else, letter from company showing my current position,sal. etc). Since I didn't change my employer, it was very easy and quick to get such documents from current employer. Imagine if I would have switched on EAD then I would have to chase my past employer for letters, paystubs etc and by the I would got them from past employer,I faced the risk of PD moving back.
Your case is different becasue you filed your I-485 with them. Here he has not started 485 at all.I don't know how he can maintain good relation with them. Some employer are too torugh to deal and same goes with some employees too.

I'm confused!
I am July 2nd filer from last year. I did receive a FP notice in Oct 2007 but couldn't go for it. I sent a letter asking for another date but TSC..So go figure!...

There is a 99% chance of a TV crew covering this event. I just spoke with them and they are just working out the logistics. They will reach the USCIS office at around 12 PM and said that it would be great if some of us are available around that time to talk to them.

Over the past 4 years, I have contributed to IV several times. I was also a monthly subscriber of $20 for over a year until my credit card expired and the payments stopped.
What pains me is that inspite of several requests, i have not been granted access to donor forms. Perhaps there is a waiting list for donor access or my priority date is not current for the same.:confused:
I will try my best to make it to DC events, but please accept my small contribution in case i am unable to make the trip.

I read it the same way as you. The only difference I see here from provisions in CIR is that this seems to make a distinction between advanced degree holders from US vs outside. Looks like advanced degree holders from US do not have the 3 year restriction. This also seems to be consistent with section 203 where the employer would be allowed to start the GC process for US educated students while they are in OPT stage itself.

I think it's tough for anyone to predict exact EB3 -> EB2 porting for this year at this point in time....It's definitely going to increase every year...unless some rule changes...It was pretty clear even before this lawyer posted that EB2 will have no or very slow movement without any spillover...

It takes 90 days MINIMUM to get EAD? I've heard that it takes at most 90 days to get EAD. Does anyone know?
used to be at most 90 days. If not u could have gone to ur local office and get temp EAD. It changed no more temp EAD. You r at the mercy of USCIS.
