Don't worry, his viewership is something like 200k. considering 300 million population of the US, just think what %age of people watch him? i don't think his constant whining makes a diff. Americans are smart enough that these so called news anchors are nothing more than sales/marketing guys employed indrectly by the political parties.
People like Sean Hannity, rush linbaugh constantly bashed Obama (they still do), but how much diff does it make to the american people?
another comparison: people like Dobb and Hanitty make $8-10 million a year, whereas Howard Stern makes $100 million a year. If people took these jokers seriously they would worth much more.

How can one find his/her receipt date if they dont have copy of their receipt notice, just the receipt notice?
Take the infopass appointment. Tell them your 485 receipt number and request them for Receipt Date & Notice Date. In the initial screen, I think officer can only see Notice Date. Then request them for Receipt date, then I think they can dig the info and find the info.
Few officers are not aware and they say that there will be only one date i.e. 'Notice Date', you should tell them the difference between Notice Date & Receipt Date, then they will try to look. This happened to me, So I showed them my I-140 receipt and explained the difference. Then the officer got convinced to check for Receipt Date for 485 in the system.

Depending upon the uscis announcement in a day or two (i.e,7/17 or 7/18)things may change for the short term so we will plan any specific action item after that.
But for now lets continue to urge everyone we know in Texas to join IV to continue pursuing our efforts as much intelligent, elite and vivid group for acheiving our goals and objectives.

Guys, Tell me something�If in 2009 total 2K people applied for 485 and the trend continues in 2010, don�t you think that all of EB3 will get their
GC�s in next 2 years??
There are total 75K pending EB2 including India, China. Assuming in 2009 there will be 20K GC�s filed, it still leaves 45-50K visas for EB3 for 2009-10.
Then next year onwards there should be sufficient visas to remove remaining backlog of 100K EB3.
What do you guys think?

As far as I know he was allowed to board the flight. No issues there but there can be issues when he re-enters US. Since he was on B1 (10 year Multiple) he can stay max 6 months in US so he has I 94 till Apr 09 but if he say come in Oct 09 to US again the system might not have checked him off so it might display that he is still in US and he overstayed his Visa and so CBP will call him in for secondary inspection. As far as I know it can be resolved by showing flight ticket stub and arrival stamp in destination country etc. Its more if hassle than anything.

This is the same seat from where Bush defeated John Kerry by 10 points in 2004. Republicans have a 44 percent to 29 percent edge over Democrats in voter registration. Bilbray won 49% votes against Democrat Ms Busby's 45%. This shows that there was no clear endorsement for either candidate. This infact shows that democrats did make a headway into republican base and come November it might be Democrat. We should remember this is a heavy Republican district.
Republican Brian Bilbray will face-off with a Democrat again in November for this same seat for a two year term.
Also, a big faux-pax by the Democratic candidate might have led to her own demise. She suggested that illegal aliens could also vote for her, this incensed the republican voters and they came out at the last minute to hand her a defeat.
It is obvious that Republicans won because Democrats blew it.

Yes forwarded the copy to the lawyer this morning.I have an appointment with lawyer Friday morning regarding this..So for lawyer office didn't received anything from uscis.
Here is my backround
1)Worked for Company A from 2003 to 2008.
2)Company A applied I-140 and approved April 2006. AOS 485 filed on July 2007. Got EAD but never used it
3)September 2008 I have Joined employer “B” by transferring H1B (Valid until Aug 21st 2010).
4)Employer A revoked 140 which triggered 485 denials in October 2008.
5)Applied MTR and it was approved in NOVEMBER 2008 and 485 re-opened.
This is the only major concern I have.Though I have approved MTR and 485 re-opened, but my online status of 485 still showing denied.
My AP approved last month.......my wife EAD,AP approved last month.I am the primary..strange
I know I have moderate control over this situation.Just having good faith & hope.This whole thing H1-B,DL,GC,EAD,AP & visa stamping ..etc what a pain for some people.Very sad.For uscis error(485 denial wrongly) I am not only lost money( closee to 5k) also lost "n" no of days of sleep back in 2008 and now :mad:

So if (for example) an H1B worked in the US for a few weeks before their visa became available, are they technically eligible for this? Or perhaps they were out of status for a week or two between jobs? I'm sure many H1's might have been in this situation. It's unclear who this applies to.

For me it's hard to see the difference between both the jobs. Seems like both fall under same DOL code.
I would say don't worry and go for it. I have done switch from being programmer to DBA and I won't lose a single second of sleep on that.

I don't get what caused the sudden spike in the Master's quota. Earlier it used to be open for at least 15 days... Can it be because of increase in number of international students or people loosing in previous year lotteries going for Masters??? I seriously believe that H1B visa program needs reform - a valid job offer (read project for consultancies) must be necessary for applying AND a joining date within 2 months of starting FY. This is true madness going on.
